Ikebana-Inspired Flower Arranging Workshop – Crystal Palace

Date & Time: Saturday, 18th October, 2–4 pm
Location: Alkemi, 36 Westow Street, Crystal Palace, SE19 3AH

Join us at Alkemi’s newly opened space in Crystal Palace for a meditative flower arranging workshop inspired by the Japanese art of Ikebana.

Guided by Tobby from Bleak House, you will explore simple Ikebana-inspired principles alongside modern floral design techniques to create a sculptural arrangement with seasonal flowers and foliage. We will be working with a kenzan (Japanese flower frog), a traditional tool used in Ikebana arranging.

It’s a calming way to arrange flowers with more thoughtful approach, though no prior experience needed.

All tools are provided (even it’s a flower only option) and the workshop will run approximately 1.5-2hr.

Ticket options:

  • Flowers only

  • Flowers with ceramic bowl and Niwaki kenzan (available from Alkemi)
